Welcome back, Vidar of Iola!! After a five-year odyssey, Vidar is back near his original position between the Chamber kiosk and BankFirst on State Street. Special thanks to Charlie Wasrud for doing all the repair work on him and coming up with the plan to affix him on his new resting place.

Five years ago almost to the day, Charlie Wasrud and helpers cut Vidar off his original base, starting his five-year journey of restoration, re-staining and rest before being placed on a new “stump” today. Vidar was originally carved in just four days during the week of the Iola Car Show in 2010 by “Buzzsaw” Bob.
